Meet the Pastor

Antioch West is one of three congregations that make up Antioch the Apostolic Church. A common misconception is that “the church” refers to a building or meeting place. However, when we look closely at the Bible we discover that the church embodies a different meaning. The word “church” in the New Testament is translated from the Greek word ekklesia, which means a called-out assembly or congregation.

In other words, the church is not a building or a denomination, but a body of believers, a group of people who believe in God and who are headed in the same direction. The Bible also tells us in Acts 2 that the church was added to daily, as the disciples went from house to house breaking bread and fellowshipping.

That’s why we strive to be a “church without walls.” Although we are a large group of people and we do hold a Sunday morning worship gathering, we are more so a conglomerate of many small groups, which are held in our members’ homes throughout Anne Arundel County. We place significant emphasis on our small groups, which are designed to be a godly community where we can encourage each other and grow in our journey of spiritual growth and pursuit of God.

For more information, we encourage you to browse our website, and reach out with questions.

Please know that we are praying for you and we would love for you to join us in worship, a Bible Study, or a small group soon. An encounter with God can be life-changing, and when you become a part of a church family or small group, you are never alone in your pursuit of Him!
